Love, Romance & Sexuality
Definition
Bashar teaches that romantic and sexual union can be a doorway to expanded consciousness, an energetic exchange that amplifies both partners' frequency when entered with love, presence and intention; the biggest obstacles to healthy sexuality are shame, performance anxiety, and using sex to seek validation rather than to give pleasure. He reframes marriage away from a contractual obligation toward a consciously chosen partnership renewed daily through genuine excitement, distinguishing "karmic relationships" (chosen to resolve past-life patterns) from "soulmate partnerships" (chosen for the joy of co-creation). On soul mates and twin flames, he explains that in one sense everyone you meet is a soul mate, each mirroring something to you, but the deeper pattern is that two people who have each recognized their own wholeness make an agreement to meet and reflect that wholeness back to one another — a person who does not yet believe they are whole tends only to attract relationships mirroring that lack. He also describes an emerging model of romantic love moving away from "you complete me" toward two already-complete people choosing to share and expand their completeness together, which requires genuine self-knowledge and emotional self-sufficiency in each partner.
