Bashar teaches that all genuine creativity is a form of channeling: rather than making something from nothing, the artist accesses an existing field of infinite possibility and selects a particular slice of it to bring into physical form. Creative blocks are always belief-based ("I have no talent," "it's not original enough"), and he encourages artists to create from excitement rather than for approval, since art's purpose is to express the creator's unique frequency, not to please a market. This capacity is universal rather than uniquely human — he describes extraterrestrial civilizations with their own art forms, including collectively-created works and sound-and-light sculptures experienced through expanded perception rather than the physical eye. He also affirms that digitizing music and sound does not erase humanity's emotional responsiveness, since the capacity to feel is a matter of perspective rather than medium, and that objects and art deliberately made to embody peace and harmony can broadcast that frequency to everyone who encounters them.
