Bashar teaches that service-to-others and service-to-self are ultimately a false dichotomy: true service to others is impossible without first being whole, while genuinely honoring yourself in service-to-self naturally overflows to benefit others. He frames evil not as an opposing force to good but as a state of 'temporary forgetting' — a deep disconnection from Source acting from fear rather than love — and physical reality requires positive/negative contrast as a 'polarization engine' to generate the experiential diversity that drives universal expansion. Negatively polarized civilizations and 'renegade' factions are real, but they are not omnipotent; their power over you is directly proportional to the fear you carry, since fear is the frequency that resonates with and invites self-serving energy, while love and alignment with your true nature does not match that frequency and therefore protects you. Bashar stresses that non-dual understanding never excuses harmful action — humans must still make ethical choices and build justice systems — but even actions labeled 'evil' ultimately provide contrast that catalyzes compassion and collective evolution.
