Illness & Physical Healing

Illness & Physical Healing

Definition

Bashar teaches that physical illness and pain are not random malfunctions or punishments but messages from the belief-and-emotion system, with each body part and each pain type carrying its own metaphorical vocabulary — back pain signaling a lack of support, throat problems linked to an unspoken truth, and so on. The body is described as a biological computer that faithfully manifests the dominant belief system, and as a natural pharmacy that already produces every chemical needed for wellbeing (endorphins, dopamine, oxytocin) once activated through belief, breath, movement, and emotional choice. Self-healing and hands-on or energy healing work the same way: the healer raises their own frequency and creates a high-frequency field that lets the patient's own body-mind heal itself, remaining neutral rather than absorbing the patient's energy or pushing an agenda. Bashar consistently frames this as complementary to, never a replacement for, medical care. He also teaches that aging and dying are natural stages shaped partly by belief — cultures that revere elders age more gracefully — and that death is a graduation rather than a failure, while cautioning against chasing physical immortality out of fear of death.
