Remote Viewing and Non-Local Consciousness
Bashar explains the mechanism behind remote viewing and other forms of non-local perception as demonstrations of consciousness's fundamental property of non-locality, and how this challenges the materialist assumption that mind is produced by brain.
The phenomenon your researchers call remote viewing provides one of the most rigorously documented and most philosophically challenging demonstrations of a fundamental truth about the nature of consciousness: that it is non-local.
Non-local means that consciousness is not confined to the location of the body or the brain. It does not require proximity to its subject. It is not diminished by distance. And it does not, in fact, experience space or time the way your physical instruments do. What you call space and time are frameworks of experience that consciousness adopts for the purpose of a particular type of incarnated experience — they are, if you like, the rules of a specific game. But the consciousness that plays the game is not, itself, bound by the rules of the game.
Your government intelligence agencies discovered in the nineteen seventies and eighties — and this is verifiable through your own declassified records — that trained human subjects could consistently perceive and accurately describe physical locations, objects, and events at a distance, under controlled laboratory conditions. This is not a theoretical claim. It is an empirically established fact in the record of your own research.
What this demonstrates is that the brain does not generate consciousness. The brain is a transducer — a sophisticated biological interface between the non-local field of consciousness and the specific experience of being in a physical body. Consciousness uses the brain the way you might use a radio receiver to tune into a specific broadcast. The broadcast does not originate from the receiver, and the receiver's limitations do not define the totality of what the broadcast contains.
Remote viewing works by quieting the mental noise that normally keeps your conscious attention anchored to the physical body and the immediate environment, and allowing the non-local aspect of your consciousness to receive impressions from locations in space — and sometimes in time — that are outside the reach of your ordinary senses. The training for remote viewing is essentially training in the art of getting your rational, analytical mind out of the way long enough for the non-local information to surface into conscious awareness.
Understand the significance of this. If consciousness is non-local — if it is not produced by the brain and not confined to the body — then what you call death cannot be what you think it is.
