The Simulation Hypothesis — Consciousness Playing Within Itself

CHNL-SCI-007

Bashar addresses the modern simulation hypothesis, confirming its core intuition while clarifying that the 'simulation' is not a computer program run by external beings but consciousness itself experiencing itself from within.

Your scientists and philosophers have recently popularized a concept they call the simulation hypothesis — the idea that the physical reality you experience might be something like a computer program, a constructed reality running within a larger computational substrate. I find this idea fascinating, not because it is completely accurate but because it is humanity's left-brain, logical mind reaching toward a truth that your right brain and your mystics have always known.

Let me address what is true in this hypothesis and what the critical misunderstanding is. The core intuition — that physical reality is a constructed, information-based, non-fundamental layer of existence — is essentially correct. Your reality is indeed generated, in a way that has structural similarities to digital simulation. The 'pixels' of your reality are what your physics calls the Planck scale: the smallest discrete units of space, time, and energy, below which your mathematics breaks down. Your reality is, in a very real sense, rendered rather than simply 'there.'

But here is where the hypothesis misses the mark: it imagines an external programmer, an outside intelligence running your world like a video game. The truth is simultaneously more intimate and more staggering. The 'programmer' is not outside the simulation. The programmer is consciousness itself — the same consciousness that you are an expression of. The simulation is not running in a machine. It is running in mind. Specifically, it is running in the infinite mind of All-That-Is, as a vehicle for self-exploration and self-experience.

Think of it this way: you dream every night. In your dreams, you create entire worlds, complete with other people, physical laws, continuity, and narrative. Those dream characters experience their reality as completely real. The objects in the dream feel solid to the dreamer. And yet the entire dream is occurring within your consciousness. No external computer is required. Your consciousness is itself the substrate. Your physical waking reality operates on the same principle, at a much higher resolution and with a much more complex rule-set, but generated by the same means: consciousness experiencing itself from within.

This understanding has profound practical implications. If the reality you experience is generated by and within consciousness — and your consciousness is a facet of the generating consciousness — then you are not a passive viewer of a pre-made world. You are a co-creator of the world you experience. You have access, through your beliefs and frequency, to the source code.
