The Sacred Masculine and Feminine in Balance

CHNL-REL-018

Bashar explains masculine and feminine not as gender categories but as fundamental principles of consciousness that every being carries, describing the qualities of each and how their internal integration is the foundation of healthy external relationships.

I want to speak about what your traditions call the masculine and feminine principles, because these concepts are widely misunderstood — conflated with biological gender, used to justify social hierarchies, and entangled in cultural conflict in ways that obscure their actual, profound significance. Let me offer you a perspective that may be clarifying.

The masculine and feminine are not primarily descriptions of people. They are descriptions of two fundamental and complementary modes of consciousness that are present in every being and that operate, in their ideal form, in dynamic creative relationship with each other.

The sacred masculine principle — regardless of who expresses it — is the principle of directionality, of focused intention, of action in the world, of structure, of definition. It is the aspect of consciousness that makes choices, sets direction, takes decisive action, and provides the form within which energy can be organized. When the masculine principle is healthy and integrated, it is characterized by clarity, decisiveness, protection, and the capacity to hold space for others to flourish within the structure it creates.

The sacred feminine principle — again, in all beings — is the principle of receptivity, of creative potential, of intuition, of relational awareness, of flow. It is the aspect of consciousness that perceives the whole field rather than a single point, that knows through feeling and direct perception rather than analysis, that generates and sustains life, that holds the space of creative possibility. When the feminine principle is healthy and integrated, it is characterized by deep wisdom, nurturing creativity, the capacity for profound connection, and the kind of knowing that arrives whole rather than step by step.

In the ideal — within a single being, and between beings in relationship — these two principles are not in opposition or hierarchy. They are in creative partnership, each requiring and completing the other. The feminine provides the field, the space, the vision, the felt sense of what wants to emerge. The masculine provides the focused intention and sustained action that brings what the feminine envisions into actual form.

The distortions you see in your world — the suppression of the feminine, the disconnection of the masculine from its depth — are the result of both principles becoming separated from their sacred roots and operating from fear rather than from wholeness. The healing of your civilization's relationship with both principles begins within each individual — in the integration of both modes of consciousness within yourself, regardless of your physical gender.
