The Present Moment — The Only Point of Power
Bashar teaches that the present moment is not merely one moment among many but the only moment that actually exists — the singular point where consciousness intersects with reality and where all creative power is concentrated.
Your teachers of presence — from various traditions, various lineages — have all pointed toward the same fundamental truth: the present moment is not one moment among many. It is the only moment. Past and future are, from the perspective of the physics I understand, constructions within consciousness — highly convincing, highly useful constructions, but constructions nonetheless. The only actual event that is occurring is now. This now. The one you are in.
Let me explain why this matters so practically. You cannot create in the past — it is fixed as memory. You cannot create in the future — it is not yet arrived. The only place you ever have any creative capacity, the only point at which your beliefs, your emotional state, your focused attention can have any effect on what you experience — is here, in this present moment. This is why every teaching that helps you become more present is also, from a different angle, a teaching on manifestation. Presence and creative power are the same thing.
The mind that wanders into past regret or future anxiety is a mind that has temporarily left the only point from which it can actually do anything. Not because the past and future are unimportant — they serve essential functions in your experience of time. But when you are reliving the past emotionally, you are not using that past as information; you are using it as a substitute for present engagement. And when you are projecting into an anxious future, you are not planning; you are pre-experiencing suffering that does not yet exist and may never exist.
Practically: practice returning. When you notice that your attention has drifted into past rumination or future anxiety, do not judge yourself. Simply notice, and return. Bring your awareness back to what is actually present in your senses right now — the temperature of the air, the weight of your body, the sounds in the room. This is not just a relaxation technique. It is the reclamation of your creative presence. And your creative presence, fully inhabited, is one of the most powerful things in this universe.
