The Art of Receiving — Allowing the Universe to Deliver
Bashar identifies the inability to receive as one of the most common blockages to manifestation, and provides specific teachings on how to open to receiving the reality you have been creating vibrationally.
You have worked on your beliefs. You have worked on your frequency. You have clarified your excitement and followed it. You have visualized, you have affirmed, you have let go. And yet the physical manifestation does not seem to be arriving. In many cases, when I look at this situation, the missing piece is not in the creation side of the equation — it is in the receiving side.
Receiving is a skill, and for many of you it is an underdeveloped one. Your culture has heavily trained the giving, achieving, producing, and striving aspects of your nature, while significantly undertraining the receiving, allowing, resting, and accepting aspects. The result is that many of you are excellent generators of vibrational templates but poor receivers of the physical delivery that those templates have called forth.
Here is how the inability to receive manifests practically: you ask for something, you create the vibrational state aligned with having it, and then when the universe begins to send it — through a person, an opportunity, an unexpected windfall, a door that opens — you hesitate. You question whether you deserve it. You look for the catch. You minimize it. You say 'it's not quite right' or 'the timing isn't perfect' or 'I can't accept this from you.' You deflect the very delivery you have been requesting.
The root of this is almost always a belief about worthiness — a deep, often unconscious conviction that you do not deserve to have what you want, that receiving is passive and therefore weak, that to be given something rather than earning it is somehow embarrassing or suspicious.
The practice of receiving begins with small things. Notice when someone offers you a genuine compliment, and instead of deflecting — 'oh, it was nothing' — simply receive it. Say 'thank you' and let it land. Notice when someone offers to help you and you immediately say 'no, I'm fine' — and practice saying 'yes, thank you, I appreciate that.' Each of these moments of genuine reception is a signal to the entire field of your existence that you are open, that you are worthy, that you allow good things in. And the field mirrors that openness back to you in every domain of your life.
