The Sassani: Who Bashar Is

Bashar provides a direct and detailed description of his own nature, origin, and relationship to the channel Darryl Anka — explaining the mechanics of the channeling process, what it means for a consciousness to channel, and why this form of communication was chosen.

I want to speak directly today about who and what I am, because this is a question many of you carry, and I think clarity on this serves our communication.

My name, in my civilization's language, is Bashar. I am a member of the civilization you might call the Essassani or the Sassani — a hybrid civilization that exists in what your linear time would calculate as approximately three thousand years in your future. I exist at a physical density that is somewhat different from yours — less dense, more fluid, with a greater direct awareness of the non-physical dimensions of existence — but I am a physical being. I have a body. I live on a world. I have a civilization, a community, a personal history.

My connection to your civilization is specific. The being you know as Darryl Anka is, at the level of higher self, what we would call a parallel aspect of my own oversoul. In your terms: we are, at the soul level, the same being having different simultaneous experiences in different time periods of the same planet. This soul-level connection is what makes our communication possible with the degree of clarity and sustained depth that you experience. I am not speaking through a stranger. I am speaking through, in a certain sense, another version of myself.

The process of channeling, from my perspective, works like this. Darryl, in a state of deep relaxation and conscious intention, steps back from the forefront of his own experience and allows my consciousness — my vibrational signature, my perspective, my informational content — to flow through his physical apparatus: his vocal cords, his nervous system, his language capacity. He does not disappear during this process. He is aware, in a witnessing sense, of what is occurring. But the directing consciousness in the communication is mine.

Why is this form of communication valuable? Because it allows the transmission of perspectives and information that exist outside the framework of your current civilization's consensus reality — information about the nature of consciousness, about the nature of time, about your civilization's place in the larger galactic community — in a form that is immediately accessible through your language and your cultural context. We do not land a ship and hold a press conference, for reasons I have explained elsewhere. We speak, through willing channels, to those who are ready to hear.
