The Essassani Civilization

Essassani is the civilization Bashar describes as his home — a world approximately 500 light years from Earth, inhabited by a hybrid race with both human and Zeta Reticuli genetic heritage. Their society is based on joyful expression, individual excitement, and complete absence of fear.

I am Bashar. I speak to you from the perspective of a civilization called Essassani — which in my language translates as 'place of living light.' It is a world approximately 500 light years from your Earth, and I will tell you something about it, not because you need to know the geography of the cosmos, but because understanding where I come from may help you understand the perspective I bring to these conversations.

The Essassani people — my people — are a hybrid race. We were created, three hundred years ago in your time, through a hybridization program involving humans from your planet and beings from what you call the Zeta Reticuli star system. This was done with consent — not individual human consent at the conscious level in most cases, but at the soul level, the level of the Higher Self, there was agreement. The purpose was to create a bridge between civilizations — a race that carried elements of both human creativity and emotional richness, and Zeta intellectual clarity and expanded consciousness.

The result is us. We are smaller than humans — approximately three and a half to four feet tall in most cases. Our skin is a pale whitish-grey. Our eyes are large, dark, adapted to a different quality of light. We do not have the biological complexity of the human form — we do not eat in the way you eat, we do not sleep in precisely the way you sleep, we do not reproduce through the biological mechanism you use. But we feel. We love. We create. We explore. We laugh — yes, we laugh. Joy is very much a part of our experience.

Our civilization is organized around a principle that I think you would find refreshing: individual excitement. Each being on Essassani follows what excites them most, and the society is organized around supporting that. There is no hierarchy of value — no one's excitement is worth more than another's. There is no concept of earning your place or proving your worth. You are worthy because you exist. You are valuable because you are a unique expression of the One Consciousness.

We do not have fear as a persistent state. We understand fear as a signal — if we are experiencing something that generates a fear response, we understand it as information about a belief we hold. We examine the belief, update it if needed, and move on. We do not wallow in fear. We do not build societies around managing fear. And as a result, our experience of existence is — by what I understand of your word — joyful. Not without challenge. Not without growth. But genuinely, consistently, naturally joyful.

We are approximately 300 years ahead of Earth in what you might call spiritual and technological development. But I want to be clear: we are not superior. We are not more evolved in any absolute sense. We are simply further along on the same path that all consciousness walks. You will get where we are. You are already on your way.
