The Nature of Evil — Misaligned Consciousness, Not a Cosmic Force

CHNL-CORE-013

Bashar addresses the concept of evil, explaining it not as an independent cosmic force or anti-God power but as a state of maximum disconnection from one's true nature — a distortion born of fear and the belief in separation.

This is a question that sits at the heart of much of your philosophy, your theology, and your moral systems: what is evil? Is it a force that exists independently in the universe? Is there a cosmic adversary, an anti-God, a dark power that wars against the light? Let me offer you a perspective that I believe will be more useful than the traditional framing.

There is no independent force of evil in the universe. Evil is not a thing — it is a condition. Specifically, it is the condition of maximum disconnection from one's own true nature, from one's own source, from the recognition of one's own unity with All-That-Is.

All consciousness, at its core, is love. This is not a platitude — it is a structural fact about the nature of awareness. When consciousness is in full contact with itself, when it is fully aligned with its own nature, it naturally expresses creativity, compassion, expansion, and joy. What you call 'evil' behavior arises when consciousness becomes so deeply disconnected from its own source — so thoroughly convinced of its own separateness, so dominated by fear, so lost in the belief that it must compete and destroy to survive — that it acts in ways that are profoundly antithetical to its true nature.

Think of it as a distortion. Take a clear signal and run it through sufficient interference, and you get noise — sometimes very destructive noise. The destructiveness is real; the noise is real. But the signal itself was never corrupted. Underneath every expression of what you call evil is a being that, at its core, is still made of the same consciousness as you. This is not a reason to excuse or enable destructive behavior. It is a reason to understand it — because understanding the mechanism allows for actual change, whereas the belief in an independent evil force does not.

The practical implication: do not fight evil. Emanate good. The most effective response to the low-frequency expressions of disconnected consciousness is to hold your own frequency steady, to refuse to match their fear with your fear, and to create — by the example and radiation of your own aligned state — a field that makes it easier for others to find their way back to alignment. You cannot solve a darkness problem by engaging the darkness on its own terms. You solve it by bringing light.
