Jesus himself, according to Bashar, taught reincarnation openly, and the Essene community preserved these teachings. The removal of reincarnation from Christian doctrine created an incomplete theological framework that led to the concepts of purgatory and eternal damnation as compensatory mechanisms. Restoring this understanding would resolve many theological paradoxes in Christianity.
