Existence and Change: The First Principle of All That Is
Bashar articulates the most fundamental axiom of his metaphysics: 'Existence exists, and it changes.' This entry explores:
- the irreducibility of existence—consciousness/Being/All That Is is not created by anything more fundamental; it simply IS, eternally and infinitely; asking 'why does anything exist?' is a category error, like asking 'what is north of the North Pole?',
- change as the only constant—stasis is impossible in an infinite system; even what appears unchanging is changing at rates or levels imperceptible to the observer; the fear of change is actually fear of the inevitable,
- the oscillation principle—existence alternates between states of expansion and consolidation, creation and contemplation, expression and integration; neither pole is superior; both are necessary for the cosmic heartbeat,
- the identity of existence and consciousness—there is no 'matter' separate from 'mind'; what appears as physical reality is consciousness experiencing itself through structured vibration; to exist IS to be conscious, at whatever level,
- the implication for human life—recognizing oneself as an expression of fundamental existence removes the terror of annihilation; you cannot cease to exist, only change form; this is the metaphysical foundation of courage.
Bashar connects this principle to physics: the law of conservation of energy is the physical reflection of the metaphysical conservation of consciousness. The entry includes meditation: resting in the direct experience 'I AM' without qualification or narrative.
